    Desulfurization or deacidification equipment is a device that uses desulfurizers (usually lime slurry or sodium bicarbonate) to absorb acidic pollutants such as sulfur oxides or HCl in flue gas. MUWELT has further expanded its product line based on the existing products of ELEX in Switzerland, introducing and developing dry, semi dry, and wet desulfurization technologies. Adhering to the excellent detail design and extremely high efficiency and reliability of ELEX products, Muweite's desulfurization products also have the characteristics of high efficiency, energy conservation, and long-term effectiveness, achieving the complete and comprehensive flue gas treatment process.

MUWELT has further expanded its product line based on the existing products of ELEX in Switzerland, introducing and developing dry, semi dry, and wet desulfurization technologies.

 

Dry desulfurization is the process of setting up a mixing section in the flue, where finely ground sodium bicarbonate dry powder is sprayed into the flue gas and mixed with the flue gas. High temperature activates sodium bicarbonate and reacts with SOx, producing products such as sodium sulfite to remove SOx. After dry desulfurization, a bag filter will be installed to remove dust on one hand, and on the other hand, sodium bicarbonate powder forms a reaction layer on the surface of the bag to further deeply remove SOx.

 

Semi dry desulfurization mainly includes SDA (rotary spray) and direct injection. Small lime slurry droplets are mixed with flue gas and react with SOx to generate calcium sulfate or calcium sulfite, and the droplets are heated and gasified by hot flue gas during falling until they become dry powder. Compared to dry methods, semi dry methods have higher desulfurization efficiency. Compared to wet desulfurization, semi dry desulfurization does not have the hassle of wastewater treatment.

 

Wet desulfurization mainly includes several forms such as spray towers and pneumatic emulsifiers. Wet desulfurization has the highest efficiency and the most complete reaction. Cheap lime slurry can be used for deep desulfurization, and the dehydrated reaction product can be recycled gypsum. However, the disadvantage of wet desulfurization is that it requires a wastewater treatment system, which can generally be integrated into the factory's wastewater treatment system for treatment.
